What is Nihilism ?
Nihilism is the philosophical belief that life lacks inherent meaning, purpose, or value. It rejects the existence of objective truth, morality, or order, asserting that all systems of belief—religious, ethical, or philosophical—are human constructs with no ultimate foundation. Existential nihilism focuses on the meaningless nature of human existence, while moral nihilism denies any absolute right or wrong. At its core, nihilism confronts the void left when traditional sources of meaning (like religion or ideology) collapse, leading to a sense of emptiness or disillusionment. It can be destructive, apathetic, or liberating—depending on how one responds to the absence of inherent meaning.
